Insight

Danish carpentry

When I began working with Rosted Bang, the company was new — with strong craftsmanship but no clear visual identity to represent it. The challenge was to build a brand that could communicate precision and quality while keeping the honest, down-to-earth tone of a Danish carpentry business. The opportunity was to define an identity that felt tactile, functional, and unmistakably local — a design language that connects with both homeowners and professionals through simplicity and confidence.

Creative direction

Inspired by traditions

The art direction centered on connecting design with craft. I created a logo using the negative space between the letters R and B, forming a clean geometric symbol that feels as if it could be pressed directly into the wood of a kitchen drawer. The identity builds on a minimal, architectural approach inspired by Danish design tradition — calm compositions, muted tones, and honest materials. The web design continues this aesthetic with generous whitespace and a focus on atmosphere over decoration, giving the brand a clear and premium feel without losing its authenticity. The new identity gave Rosted Bang a professional and distinctive presence — a brand that communicates craftsmanship, design quality, and confidence in a way that resonates with modern Danish design culture.
