Partizani Grill in Aarhus had built a cult following for its unpolished energy — Balkan music, shared plates, and unapologetic personality. But online, that magic was missing. The restaurant lacked a digital presence that matched its atmosphere or helped attract new guests. The goal was to bring the essence of Partizani to life online: to create a digital brand universe that captures its cultural warmth, humor, and edge — making the experience tangible before you even step through the door.

Creative direction

Balkan nostalgia

The art direction merges Balkan nostalgia with contemporary design. I developed a visual identity built on retro typography,  and playful imperfections inspired by vintage Balkan posters and interiors. Every element — from motion to layout — was designed to feel alive and human, echoing the rhythm and chaos that define the restaurant. Authenticity guided every choice. Instead of polished perfection, the communication focuses on real people, real food, and real atmosphere — turning visual noise into character. The website became Partizani Grill’s digital heartbeat — a place that not only showcases the food but tells the story behind it. It now acts as the brand’s primary touchpoint for discovery and engagement, capturing the restaurant’s unique personality while driving awareness and visits.
